Our Chapter History
The Enid AM Too AMBUCS organization has a rich history. We chartered in July of 1988 with 101 enthusiastic, hard working women. We were willing to meet the challenge, “BE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN BE”, given to us at our Charter Celebration Banquet. We held our first fund raising project when we were less than one month old. This allowed us to start giving back to the community. In a very short time we had earned the reputation that “if you needed community involvement”, call Enid AM Too. Our women soon branched out to become active in other areas by serving in many local organizations. Our major focus then and now is to be supportive of each other and to make a positive difference in our community.

For years, our major fundraiser was selling homemade cherry pies - we became quite well-known for them! As times have changed,

so has our major fundraiser. In 2011, we began hosting an annual Chicken & Noodle Dinner and Silent Auction, with proceeds going to local charities and Amtrykes. This event typically takes place in March. We participate in smaller fundraising opportunities, such as selling Rada Cutlery.

Although our organization is 28 years old, we have continued to retain our focus of lending support to each other and to the community. We are very proud that nine of the charter members continue to be active.
